Oxidation is a natural phenomenon influenced by skin pH , humidity and contact with certain chemicals.
No, because they are made of 316L stainless steel , a strong and hypoallergenic metal that does not rust and retains its shine over time.
316L stainless steel is very resistant: your CLYDA jewelry can be in contact with water without risk of oxidation or color change.
To preserve the shine of your CLYDA jewelry, avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, and chemicals. Remove them before sleeping, swimming, or exercising.
Creations combining steel, leather, mother-of-pearl or natural stones require special attention: avoid alcoholic or acidic products which can alter their color and shine.
Over time, your CLYDA jewelry may develop a slight patina; this is a natural part of the metal. To preserve its shine, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove any traces of oxidation.
You can also clean them occasionally in cold soapy water , using a soft brush, then rinse and dry them thoroughly.
When not wearing them, store them in their original pouch or box , away from air and humidity.
Watches
CLYDA watches are 3 ATM and 5 ATM water resistant: the 3 ATM models are resistant to everyday splashes, while the 5 ATM models withstand rain and light immersion.
However, we recommend avoiding sea water, swimming pools, chemicals and high heat , as steam and condensation can damage the internal components and mechanism.
To preserve your CLYDA watch, avoid contact with perfumes, cosmetics, sun creams or cleaning products , which can alter its finish.
Also protect it from hard surfaces , moisture and prolonged exposure to sunlight .
We advise you to remove your watch during sporting activities or while sleeping , in order to preserve its precision and shine over time.
To maintain the beauty of your CLYDA watch, clean it regularly with a clean, dry, soft cloth .
Avoid using a cloth containing sand or dust residue, which could scratch the case or bracelet.
Always keep your watch away from moisture and shocks when not wearing it.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY CLYDA WATCH?
Is your watch slow or no longer showing the correct time? This is probably a sign that the battery needs to be replaced .
The safest and easiest way is to contact one of the Histoire d'Or jewelry stores , which has the necessary equipment to carry out the replacement while preserving the water resistance and proper functioning of your watch.
Please note: if you open the case yourself, the watch will no longer be covered by the warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) .
